Jen Maki is an International Trade Counsel with UTC. She provides counsel and performs investigations for UTC’s CCS division in the areas of export controls and economic sanctions. Her work includes counseling business units regarding export compliance procedures and policies, conducting internal reviews and investigations; completing risk reviews for export transactions; advising business units on economic sanction matters; and preparing voluntary disclosures and licensing submissions for the U.S. Government.
Prior to joining UTC, Jen was counsel with Fluor corporation where she lead the international trade efforts for the company, including its management of trade compliance issues for infrastructure and military support work in Afghanistan, Iraq and Africa. She also worked at as an Associate at DC based law firms where she counseled companies on export controls and economic sanctions, advised and assisted companies in creating compliance programs, and conducted investigations involving trade compliance and economic sanction investigations.
Jen received her J.D. from the College of William and Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law.
